TERROR BALL: A TOUR GAME- A HOW TO GUIDE TO SURVIVE, KINDA…
the other day after it rained i went outside due to boredom and puttered around my backyard listening to music. i decided to rummage through my back shed to find something to keep me entertained and came upon my old aluminum bat and soccer ball. if any of you know me, i like hitting things with other things to watch the effects of thing one has on thing two. i started noticing different style swings created extremely dramatic effects on how the soccer-ball took off, and in that moment of realization, all things came together, and i invented a game…

so here is the terror ball field

so the rules are simple:
- there is an offense and defense team
- offense at bat
- defense in field
- object of the offense is to use any form of sports bat or sports stick to hit a stationary soccer ball on home base into any and all playing fields, make it from home, 1st, 3rd, then back to home
- object of defense is to tag out the offense in the required ways depending on the field
- points are designated on certain conditions filled by the offense
BLUE IS OFFENSE-RED IS DEFENSE

the specifics of being in play:
- offense at most can have 3 people in the field at a time (i added someone in the safe zone as an example)
- being at bat in TERROR BALL allows you to hit the stationary soccer ball with any bat or stick from any sport, it’s your preference, and you can come at the in any way you like as long as you don’t touch the ball with your hands, and the ball stays stationary on home plate while you hit it.
- FOUL BALLS OR “HOME RUNS” JUST RESETS THE PLAY, ALL RUNNERS AND DEFENSE MUST RETURN TO THEIR ORIGINAL STATIONS
- there is NO BUNTING, the point is to put the ball into play, ANY BUNTS WILL BE SEEN AS AN OUT
- you have to have 8 players on defense 2 infield, 4 in terror field, 2 outfield, and defense players right or left of the safe zone must stay on that side of the field and not interact with the other side unless a ball is hit from home into the left side, then they can interact with the right, thats the only time
- once a ball is hit, the infield or outfield is the only one allowed to tag out a runner, either by tagging out, or hitting the runner with the ball, there is no plate standing defense. offense is allowed to either stay at first base and end that play, or continue on through the terror fields to help earn points.
- THERE IS NO STEALING BASES, ALL STEALS WILL BE CONSIDERED AN OUT
- the defense in the terror fields, or a guard, has the purpose of stopping the runners from making it from 1st to safety, or 1st to 3rd. a guard can tackle runners to the ground or hold the runner still, so an infielder or outfielder can tag the player out with the ball, but for that to happen, BOTH guards must be holding a runner, not just a single guard.
- TO CLARIFY: RIGHT SIDE DEFENSE STAYS ON THE RIGHT, LEFT STAYS ON THE LEFT, UNLESS ASSISTING ON THE TAGGING OUT OF A HOME TO 1ST RUNNER!!!
- guards have to stay in either the left or right terror field, they are not allowed to cross the safety line or into the in or outfield to assist in plays
- in and out fielders are only allowed to cross into the terror fields if they are holding the ball
- AT THE START OF A PLAY, A GUARD MUST BE SPREAD OUT, LIKE SEEN IN THE PICTURE ABOVE, THERE IS NO DOG HOUSING!!!
- in can’t cross into out, and out can’t cross into in
- if a runner is caught by the guard(s), they are allowed to struggle and fight to free themselves in any way they can BESIDES PUNCHING OR KICKING!!! (unless all players are in protective equipment)
- GUARDS CAN’T TOUCH THE BALL UNLESS PASSING/KICKING IT TO THE IN OR OUTFIELDS, THEY CAN NOT TAG OUT A HOME TO 1ST RUNNER
- infielders and outfielders are not not allowed to assist the guards in holding runners
- runners from 1st to 3rd can stop in the safe zone without pursuit of he guards after entering. once entered, the runner can stop for no more than a minute or the play ends.
- runners can run from 1st to 3rd and stop if they choose, as long as they don’t over stay the minute in the safe zone
- on the next play, a runner in safety has to make it from safety, to 3rd, to home, they can’t stop at 3rd.
- SAME RULES APPLY FOR PLAYERS RUNNING FROM 1ST TO 3RD, SAFETY TO 3RD, OR SAFETY TO HOME IN REGARDS TO TO THE OFFENSE/DEFENSE PLAY OF TERROR FIELD 2
- when a player makes it to 3rd, guard pursuit is over
- runners must vacate safety on the play, and are not allowed to reenter safety, this is an automatic out.
- running from 3rd to home has the same rules as from home to 1st, only infield or outfield can tag you out with the ball
- ALL LEGAL TAGS ARE CONSIDERED OUTS, 3 OUTS SWITCHES SIDES, OR ENDS AN INNING, LIKE BASEBALL, THERE ARE 10 INNINGS TO TERROR BALL
thats the basic play of terror ball! now the point system
home to 1st-0 pts
home to safety-1 pts
home to 3rd-2 pts
home to home-4 pts
THERE ARE NO HOMERUNS
RULES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE
